Building a stronger voice for property owners

APOA began as a small WeChat group created by property owners looking to share experience, support one another, and navigate an increasingly complex rental environment in Australia.

Over time, that small community grew into one of Australia’s largest Chinese landlord networks.

Today, APOA remains volunteer-driven, community-focused, and independent.

We believe better-informed landlords create more stable homes, stronger communities, and fairer rental outcomes for everyone.

No landlord should have to figure everything out alone.

Mission & Vision

The Australia Property Owners Alliance exists to serve the core interests and rights of landlords across Australia. We are an open, inclusive, not-for-profit platform built for knowledge sharing, experience exchange, resource access, and the protection of property owners’ rights.

Our focus is on equipping members with practical knowledge, policy guidance, and compliance support — while acting as a constructive bridge between landlords and the broader community, government, and industry. We work toward a rental ecosystem that is fair, well-informed, and built on mutual respect.

Volunteer-run

APOA grew from a genuine need and a spirit of mutual support. What began as a small, informal group of landlords sharing information with each other has grown into a structured not-for-profit platform dedicated to Australian property owners.

As the rental policy environment has continued to shift, more landlords have come to recognise that navigating regulations and accessing the right resources is difficult to do alone. APOA was built to meet that need — to share experience, provide information, and give the landlord community a voice.

Volunteer Team

Every aspect of APOA’s work is driven and maintained by volunteer landlords from across Australia. Our volunteers come from a wide range of backgrounds — many have years of experience in property investment and management, while others bring professional expertise in law, finance, construction, and related fields.

Volunteers take on different roles: some moderate our online communities, others plan and run events, and others contribute to content development, policy research, or member services. All of them give their personal time and energy because they believe that by working together, we can offer real support to more landlords.

We welcome more landlords to get involved through membership, events, or joining the volunteer team. Together, we build a more knowledgeable, connected, and impactful community.
